In collaboration with Bosch-Rexroth India Limited (BRIN),
Gujarat Technological University has started building a Centre of Excellence
(COE) in I-4.0 frontiers of today's technology in Automation Technologies with
the goal of developing industry institute partnerships in the fields of
Automation, Mobile Hydraulic, Automobile, and Mobile Electronics Technologies to
bridge technology gaps between industry and academia and foster research and
knowledge among students at GTU. Objectives of GTU- Centre of Excellence in

In this regard, the Vishwakarma Government Engineering College (VGEC) in Chandkheda, Ahmedabad, is establishing the first Centre of Excellence. This centre will serve as a resource for students interested in learning about automation technologies, with a focus on training, knowledge transfer, research projects, application-oriented research, and innovation. These centres will boost employability by providing access to the most up-to-date skill sets, as well as chances for emerging entrepreneurs using cutting-edge technology. The center's main purpose would be to improve the technical competence, employability, and entrepreneurship of UG and PG students who train there, as well as to encourage students to pursue postgraduate studies.

To provide students from engineering and polytechnic colleges with hands-on exposure with current industry technologies.
By utilising the concept of a centre of excellence, all students from all regions and rural areas would be able to gain exposure to industry and innovations. The GTU-Bosch Rexroth Centre of Competence's activities include:
Faculty, students of engineering and polytechnic institutes, and industries in the coastal region will be trained at the centre.
The centre will provide opportunities for people to participate in initiatives.
